Six years ago I walked into an interview with the most timid young woman. Whenever she answered a question her face flushed as red as her beautiful hair. She had very little retail experience, but I could not ignore her drive and determination. You would not recognize that shy, subdued Rachel all these years later. I am beyond grateful for Rachel choosing us...she has allowed our organization to grow, to flourish, and inspires us all to work to a higher standard. I am always the first to tell customers that I may own Two Sole Sisters, but Rachel is The Boss.
My favorite Rachel pastime is to make her blush! It's not hard to do...pay a compliment or give her a hard time, and she flushes scarlet.
Customers now ignore me and ask for Rachel by name and that means the world to me. She is a trusted manager, a devoted colleague, and the most kind and caring woman. I know we are successful due to Rachel's eye for detail and love for the customer."
"I have had the pleasure to get to know Rachel the last few months, both as an amazing manager and a truly great person. Rachel's warmth has really made my transition to TSS so seamless and overall, a joy. Thank you for all that you do Rachel! You are so awesome!!"

"As I’m still fairly new, I don’t have a ton of material to work with, but I would definitely like to say that I have had numerous managers, bosses, mentors, and advisors, and dealt with many higher-ups just generally and I honestly feel that Rachel is the best of them! She is attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind without being judgemental, condescending, or dismissive—which is a very rare thing. Bear in mind that I am talking about my own experience here, but all of these traits absolutely apply to her interactions with customers as well!"
I love Rachel
because you can always count on her. She’s kind, thoughtful and super fun! When I think of my favorite times with Rach I think of birthday parties filled with games and laughter, or the after work happy hours where we swapped crazy stories even more laughter. And of course there was the time we worked a TSS trunk show in Houston, shared a bedroom and I almost woke her up to protect me from a noise I now realize was the wind...
Happy Anniversary Rach!
TSS wouldn’t be the same without you!"
"My favorite thing about Rachel is how open she is! She is always herself and doesn’t let being The Boss keep her from being the friendly person she is at heart."
"Whatever good I say about Rachel Nowicki will be echoed over ten times by those who also know her. Rachel is the most caring human being. She cares so deeply for the quality and diligence of her work, the happiness and welfare of her team, and the support of the business overall. Rachel is to Two Sole Sisters as gasoline is to a jet engine-- that is to say, without that little lady we aren't getting very far! She's the glue that holds us together and the fuel to our flame. She knows customers by name and their sizes like the back of her hand. I don't know how she has the time, but she always makes special moments for her customers and her employees where you feel like you are each alone in the world, showering you in her completely devoted attention. To be frank, it's a little intimidating working with someone so seemingly "perfect." Which is why maybe my favorite part of Rachel is a subtler, lesser-known side. Sometimes, after a particularly carbonated beverage, Rachel suddenly erupts with a jaw-dropping, resonant BUUUUUUURRRP! This is followed by a momentary pause, and then small, innocent "Excuse me!" of a tiny mouse. And then, just like that, she's back to business as usual.
Now that is a leader I can get behind.
She is also extremely forgiving and loves me for my sense of humor so hopefully she won't hate me for sharing that.
Happy Anniversary, Rachel! Here's to one heck of a rockstar!"
"”It’s TOUCHING me…” she groaned with repulsion as she voluntarily heaved the abandoned trash can that had been on the sidewalk outside the store for days. It had been empty. Now it was filled with unknown, disgusting public trash and Rachel was sick of looking at it. But it was heavy and she carried it alone and I followed with all the store’s trash and recycle as we filed to the trash and recycle dumpsters. Her audible displeasure that she could not hold this filthy container far enough away from her was kind of making me laugh because of her Rachel way of saying, “It’s TOUCHING me”- part fake whine, part cartoon character.
Rachel is the best fake whiner and it is this characteristic of hers that makes me wonder what she may have been like as a child. It makes me smile on the outside and giggle on the inside when she shares her fake whining. (She’s probably saying to herself “Who says these are fake?”) It just cracks me up when she employs this part of her personality to express herself at work. Beyond this special expressive ability she is a patient, understanding and incredibly supportive as a manager. She’s just a classy, sassy and bad assy kind of person!"
