Buying the right boots is only part of the process when taking the best care during the winter months. A good weather-proofing spray can really make all the difference and we prefer to use Cadillac All-Weather Shield since it is an all-season shoe care protection for leather, suede, nubuck, canvas, nylon and all fabrics. Not only does it help protect your shoes, but we highly recommend using it on your leather bags too! It is a non-silicone base so it’s safe for use on all colors, and will not darken, plus it allows leather to breathe. It's very important that Shield be used on clean and dry materials, and it is recommended that three light coats should be applied before exposure to the elements. Re-application is also imperative and should be done periodically but especially after your product has been through a heavy rain or snow - just make sure it is fully dry before applying. When in doubt, bring your item into your local shoe repair for specific advice and tips. We do sell Shield in our stores but we are unable to ship it.
